We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural Future-Focused School Leadership Summit (FFSLS), a landmark series of events on 18 Oct, 2 Nov, and 30 Nov that bring together visionary leaders from industry and academia, and STEAM coordinators and teachers in upper primary and lower secondary schools (including publicly-funded, private, and international) across Hong Kong and other parts of the Greater Bay Area (GBA), to explore the future of STEAM education in the GBA. Organised by The School Leadership Academy (SLA), the FFSLS features distinct events designed to inspire, inform, and empower school leaders and representatives in the GBA and across Asia.

As a global hub for technological innovation, the GBA serves as a strategic gateway for China's advancements in technology. This year's Summit, themed "Navigating The Future: Empowering STEAM School Leaders," marks the beginning of a journey toward greater understanding of the latest developments in GBA technology and learning for transformative change in our schools, communities, and beyond!


The SLA is a pioneering initiative dedicated to equipping current and aspiring school leaders with visionary competencies and cutting-edge strategies to shape the future of education. Through its programmes, SLA empowers educators to drive transformative change in their schools, fostering a new generation of future-focused leaders in Asia.


Speakers from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and overseas universities, industries, and schools will discuss how educators can support this vision.

The Summit: A Series of Events

Event 1   |   Friday, 18 October

Inspiration at Panyu, Guangzhou



The FFSLS kicks off with a day dedicated to sparking inspiration! GBA educators will engage with pioneering thought leaders who will delve into the GBA's strategic importance and Guangzhou's rapid development.

Event 2  |  Saturday, 2 November

Industry Insights in Shenzhen



The second day focuses on practical applications, with exclusive industry visits to Shenzhen's leading high-tech companies, including DCH, Huawei, Lenovo and Tencent*.

*Participants may not be able to visit all of the listed companies.

  • A Full-Day Event: For immersive, comprehensive learning in Shenzhen.

Implementation in Hong Kong



The final event is all about action! It is an opportunity for STEAM coordinators and teachers to explore the implementation of STEAM education in their schools.

  • EdTech Start-Ups: Enjoy a hands-on experience at up to 25 game-changing EdTech start-ups being incubated at Cyberport.
  • Implementation Strategies: Hear from school leaders on "Whole School" approaches to implementing STEAM from overseas STEAM leaders and GBA STEAM leaders.
