Event 1 – Friday 18 October: Inspiration at Education Hub, Panyu, Guangzhou

The FFSLS kicks off with a day dedicated to sparking inspiration! GBA educators will engage with pioneering thought leaders who will delve into the GBA's strategic importance and Guangzhou's rapid development.

Key highlights:

  • GBA Fast-Paced Developments: Exploring rapid advancements in the Greater Bay Area.
  • Future-Focused Education: Emphasising educational approaches aligned with future needs.
  • Industry-Education Links: Strengthening connections between industry and education.
  • Soft Skills: Raising awareness of the importance of soft skills in the AI era.

 

Event 2 – Saturday 2 November: Industry Insights in Shenzhen

The second day focuses on practical applications, with exclusive industry visits to Shenzhen's leading high-tech companies, including DCH, Huawei, Lenovo and Tencent*.

*Participants may not be able to visit all of the listed companies.

  • A Full-Day Event: For immersive, comprehensive learning in Shenzhen.
  • Visits to High-Tech Companies: Exclusive first-hand exposure to top technology and innovation leaders.
  • Practical Knowledge Transfer: Translating valuable insights and practical knowledge back to school and classroom settings.

 

Event 3 – Saturday 30 November: Implementation in Hong Kong

The final event is all about action! It is an opportunity for STEAM coordinators and teachers to explore the implementation of STEAM education in their schools.

Key highlights:

  • EdTech Start-Ups: Enjoy a hands-on experience at up to 25 game-changing EdTech start-ups being incubated at Cyberport.
  • Implementation Strategies: Hear from school leaders on "Whole School" approaches to implementing STEAM from overseas STEAM leaders and GBA STEAM leaders.
  • The STEAM Ecosystem: Join an ecosystem of STEAM Coordinators and teachers in this fast-paced, changing educational landscape.
